Today it is more “common” for men to have no hair. Actually, the shaved head look is very in, and can be pulled off well. Since the balding problem is relatively common among men, there is information that is important to understand if you suffer from the problem, are at risk of losing your hair, or know someone who suffers from common baldness.
The first thing to understand is that when you hear “common baldness” it usually refers to male-pattern baldness. This baldness is actually the most common hair loss seen among men, and it is usually something that they inherited. Sometimes these men will lose their hair at an early age. Often, the hair loss can be excessive.
In common baldness, hair loss usually starts with a receding hairline and develops into baldness on top of the head. There are treatments available. You can use medicine to stop or slow the hair loss. The most common over-the-counter medicine used today is known as Rogaine.
Also, there are some women that do experience this problem. Although it may be more rare, these women develop excessive hair loss on their scalp, and their hair becomes very thin. Often times, with women, it related to their menstrual cycle, pregnancy, or menopause.
